Amazing serving size for a really affordable price :)) Got the nachos, and they were very generous with the toppings. It's also open late, with lots of seating inside!

Another place that I meant to try for a long time and never got to until now. Back in the day my friends were always telling me how amazing El Farlito was, that was 10 plus years ago. Here I am about 10 years later they were really hyping up the burrito here. So I decided ro go with the burrito, I would normally get the quesadilla which is always my normal go to at taquerias, but decided to go with what most people said was the best burrito in NorCal. I would say this the service was decently fast, I got my burrito less than about three minutes after I ordered, so that's efficiency I guess. It is also a hefty size burrito, so they do get plus for that. To be honest it was not a Wow! It changed my loge burrito, but it was good. For a moment I thought it was going to be a burrito filled with mostly rice and beans, because I got very little carne asada when I took the first few bites but then the middle and end section of the burrito was brimmed with plenty of carne asada meat. So that was delicious. Definitely use the salsa combination with burrito.

This is my husband and mine go to Mexican spot. I usually order the boss burrito, which is usually shrimp and steak with refried beans. This burrito does not contain rice. This place is also known for the quesadillas! Huge and full of meat. Always ask for extra green and red sauce. the red sauce is more spicy than the green. Don't forget to order Agua Fresca (I love the pineapple or strawberry). It's seriously addicting. If you come anytime after midnight, expect extremely long lines. However, the staff is really great at getting orders out quickly. Bathrooms available for customers and always clean.

A must go! Stopped by on a Saturday night around 8pm. Service was really quick! I had the Al pastor super burrito and I think it might be my new favorite thing! Can't believe it has taken me so long to check out this place! Their torta was also really good!

Nice no frills Mexican food. Always busy, always tasty. Usually get the burrito as it's a staple here- but today I switched it up a little and got the quesadilla- which was a great decision. I can't tell if it was even bigger than a burrito but definitely packed full of meat and goodness- with a nice crispy outer layer. This is the place I always take visitors when they visit in the city! Definitely a San Francisco staple establishment. Plenty of seating in this location also. Quick service, great food on the cheaper side.

El Farolito on Alabama St is hands down my favorite taqueria in San Francisco. Having grown up in the Mission District, this has been my go-to spot for years, and it's never disappointed. After finishing my shift at the hospital, my fiancé and I stopped by for a late-night dinner, and it hit the spot as always. I ordered the super nachos, which were loaded with toppings and so satisfying. The price was around $10, which is a steal these days considering how expensive everything has become. My fiancé went for two carne asada tacos, and they were absolutely delicious--packed with flavor. El Farolito is a gem, and I recommend it not just to locals but to anyone visiting the city. The food is always solid, and you can't beat the authentic Mission District vibe. Definitely a must-try if you're in San Francisco!

* date visited: 07.29.2024 * ordered: regular burrito w pastor indeed worth the hype, dgaf what people say. $12 for a burrito of this size is so value. the pastor is yummy and really can't ask for more or less, you know what rice, beans, and salsa taste like lmao. the tortilla itself is really nice and stretchy, thin but holds up against all the toppings lol. open late, fast service, and quality. so great
